Undoubtedly the best zoom lenses in the world, Shoot HD is pleased to offer, as part of our Red One Ultimate kit, the Angenieux Optimo 24-290mm zoom. It's a very versatile lens frequently demanded by top DOPs. The Optimo 24-290 has an extremely fast aperture speed of T2.8, with no ramping throughout the entire zoom range. The 24-290 has excellent contrast and color reproduction and matches well with the Arri Ultra Primes. As with the Arri Ultra Primes, there is no visible focus breathing and it ofers 327° focus rotation with over twenty five witness marks.
The Angenieux Optimo 24-290 is a very large lens weighing about 12Kg, not suitable for handheld work. We also have available shorter zooms in the Angenieux Optimo range, including the 15-40mm and the 17-80mm, rated at T2.6 and T2.2.
Cooke's S4 Primes have become very popular with their warmth and gentle focus falloff that flatters faces gracefully.
