Panasonic's smaller brother to the Varicam, the major difference being the lack of variable frame rate. However, the HDX900 produces 1080 or 720 line pictures, has a firewire out, built-in composite downconvertor, Cine-Gamma menus and similar filmic-styled features.
It is very popular with broadcasters and we believe will become the workhorse HD camera for the UK TV market. Panasonic's website has more detailed information.
