Split or full Diopters from Schneider allow the user to magnify a shot without using macro lenses, allowing a much closer focus than a lens would normally allow. They also require zero exposure compensation.
Full Diopters cover the entire image, whilst split Diopters will only magnify one half of it. The strengths of +1/2, +1.0, +2.0, +3.0 are included in each set.
Schneider states that their Diopters have “hard, anti-reflective coating on both front and rear surfaces. This measurably reduces light loss and flare while helping to ensure proper color, contrast, and overall image quality.”
138mm diopters work with 4×5.6″ Arri matte boxes and attach via the donut.
